Sortant d’une victoire expéditive par soumission, Veronica Macedo devait faire son retour cette semaine à l’UFC Sao Paulo. En short-notice, la Vénézuélienne était sur la carte pour affronter la Brésilienne Ariane Lipski (11-5). Malheureusement et selon nos sources, la combattante connaît des problèmes de santé sur cette fight week (violents maux de tête)… Après examens par les médecins, la commission athlétique ne la laissera pas tenir sa place. C’est un véritable crève-coeur pour la jeune athlète de 24 ans, qui avait tout cartonné lors de sa dernière apparition à l’UFC.

On espère maintenant que son combat face à Amanda Lemos (6-1-1), dans la catégorie en-dessous (strawweight), se fera. Il est prévu pour le 21 décembre prochain à l’UFC Busan. Comme lors de l’UFC Uruguay, c’est avec Ciryl Gane, lui aussi managé par le Management Factory, qu’elle doit combattre.
